My 12 year old daughter wanted to lose weight and I was afraid that she would do this by not eating. I wanted her to have a healthy perception of weight management so I asked Dave from NEPA Fitness to help her. He first declined to test her because of her age, but after I explained the situation he agreed. The results didn’t surprise me…she was in excellent condition. What impressed me the most was how Dave interacted with her, and how he explained that she would grow in height and would slender. He also urged her to become engaged in the food shopping because she could bring in more healthy food options, and also remove the bad temptations from the house. Although she is obviously the same shape and size, her confidence went through the roof that day and she still is showing off her results.
I am confident that this was a smart and healthy way of showing my young daughter that size does not always matter, and that being healthy (not super model skinny) is what is important. And Dave embedded this even deeper by following us out yelling, “rebel against Britney!” Thank you Dave!

I am a member of a bike club from New York and every year my team and I do a race against another club for bragging rights. I’ve known Dave for years and when he explained what could be done with Target Heart Rate Zones while training, I along with three other members came to Plains and were tested. Following his recommendations for a 12 week period we felt ready to race. Last year we won by less than a bike length. This year we won by 4 minutes!!!! This was the biggest gap ever!!!!!! The other team wants to know our secret, we’re not telling.

I eat right and exercise regularly, but I travel a lot in my career. I end up eating restaurant food and often cannot find fast healthy options. I just couldn’t get my weight down to where I was comfortable. I always have had a problem dressing my shape (small on top and large on the bottom). I have been working out and doing cardio 3 to 4 times a week, but was not losing any inches off my thighs.
