About Debi:

Hi Everyone! I struggled with my weight as a young adult and tried every method possible to get the weight off. I visited the local “quack” for diet pills and I’d lose weight, but put it all back on a few short months later. It was a vicious cycle. When I was pregnant I gained 38 pounds and lost 28 before I left the hospital, but those last 10 wouldn’t budge.

After trying aerobics classes on & off, purchasing videos, and even buying our own “home gym,” my husband and I needed professional advise. I must admit that in the beginning it was all about losing weight, but after Dave was put on high blood pressure medication it became all about health.

We both joined the gym together determined to be each others workout buddies. It didn’t take long to get “hooked.” I loved realizing how strong I actually was and I even began seeing some muscle definition! Unfortunately life got in the way and Dave and I couldn’t workout together anymore, so I decided I needed a cheerleader, a professional to edge me on when I had good days and bad…I needed a personal trainer!

WOW! It was incredible to see just by tweaking some of the things I was already doing made such a difference! I also found out the some of the things that I was doing were very very wrong and dangerous. Without the professional advise of my trainer, I really doubt I would have achieved the weight loss and strength I have now. The change I saw in my own body made me want to help some of the other people that I had seen struggling with their weight for so long. I decided to get my own certification in personal training. I’m now a personal trainer in the same gym that I’ve been working out in for years, and helping so many people reach their weight loss goals has been incredibly rewarding!

Make the decision to become healthy, strong, and in control of your body. If my husband and I could do it, so can you. We can help!

About Dave:

Weighing in at 250 pounds when I was in the fifth grade was horrible. Throughout my childhood I was obese, but this wasn’t a surprise since my parents were obese as well. It wasn’t until high school that I showed any signs of losing weight. I tried out for football and wrestling, and landed a spot on the wrestling team as a heavy weight (no surprise there). Wrestling taught me about agility and strength, and by the time I graduated from high school I was overweight, but pretty normal.

I have been working out forever and most of the time I’m stuck trying to maintain my weight. I enjoy my lifestyle too much to fall under the guise of dieting and not drinking alcohol. So what am I to do? I decided I’d change what I eat throughout the day, but keep nights for myself. Lunch is prepared by my wife and I have no say in what I get. Most days I have 3 raw fruits and vegetables along with tuna or turkey/chicken.

My spouse and I enjoy a healthy lifestyle, biking/hiking/sailing and some extreme sports (skydiving/repelling/bungee jumping), but none of these allows for weight loss when you do them sporadic. So we workout in the fitness center 2/3 times a week since 1979. I thought I was doing good too. I’d do cardio for 30 to 45 minutes and have to change my shirt before lifting (great sweat), but as I grew older I notice the waist line not going in any.

I have been in the health care industry for 28 years as an engineer specializing in Surgical/Anesthesia equipment. If I had a pocket protector I would be considered a nerd, but in today’s world I’m a “Techy”. It was my connections that had me in Philadelphia seeking the answer. The professionals I had met in the health care field, showed me a new world. One that says, “No pain, no gain” is wrong, a world that uses science and common sense to arrive at attainable goals.

After training with elite athletes on their equipment I purchased my own testing system and now have a fitness center of my own. I made it my goal to be able to provide NEPA citizens the same world-class treatment that Olympic athletes receive. Our fitness room may look like a science experiement, but I swear that the results you receive will be life-altering and absolutely crucial to you reaching your health and fitness goals.
